Chicago certainly knows a thing or two about taking the opportunity to grab a nice drink with friends. However, in recent years, it seems that bar crawls have been the new go-to move for many locals and travelers alike. Bar Crawls give interested partakers the chance to check out numerous local bars and restaurants within one area of the city without paying crazy cover charges, so it’s a great way to have a sip of everything there is to offer in a neighborhood. With many neighborhoods of Chicago being worth a visit, a bar crawl may be one of the best ways to make sure you and your crew have gotten a chance to see all there is to offer and save some money on the tab at the same time!

Halloween is right around the corner, which means that bar crawl season is upon us! If you’re feeling like grabbing a few friends, jumping in a costume, and exploring the city with drink specials all around you should check out this list of some of the best bar crawls happening in October in Chicago this month.

Wrigleyville Halloween Crawl

What better place to hang with a group of friends with a few beers in hand than the home base of the Chicago Cubs? The Wrigleyville Halloween Crawl is one of the most popular bar crawls in the city for a reason and checking out the best bars in Wrigleyville without paying any cover fees very well may be why.


You’ll be checking out Wrigleyville’s best so you’ll pass through John Barleycorn, Irish Oak, Merkles, Moe’s Cantina, Rizzo’s, and many more Wrigley classic spots!

The crawl will begin on Saturday, October 26th at 7 pm and will go till midnight.

River North Halloween Bar Crawl

If you’re looking for a way to explore a ton of different bars closer to the downtown area of Chicago look no further than the River North Halloween Bar Crawl. For it’s 8th year, the theme of this year’s crawl will be the Nightmare of Hubbard Street as you get the opportunity to check out River North’s best and enjoy live DJ sets at each bar all day long with no cover charge at the participating hot spots.

Make sure you grab your spookiest look before you head out because there is a costume contest with a CASH prize as well as food and drink specials and much more treats to grab with your wristband at each participating venue. This will be 7+ hours of drinking and will be sure to sell out so grab your tickets soon!


You’ll enjoy River North bars such as Fremont, Ironside Bar & Galley, Rockit, Bottled Blonde, Tunnel, and many more awesome venues.

Once you purchase a ticket you’ll receive a wristband, map, and additional information about where to begin your River North Halloween celebration.

Crawl With Us Halloween Bar Crawl

The Halloween Bar Crawl presented by Crawl With Us gives interested partakers a unique way to enjoy the quinnessential bar crawl experience. You’ll still get a wristband and a map of participating venues, however there is no set schedule of when and where you need to be, if you wanna go Bar C before Bar A, go ahead, no one will stop ya! The Halloween Crawl will have an official pre-party and after-party and boasts a whopping $1000 prize for the creepy crawler with the best costume. The two free drinks at the beginning certainly doesn’t hurt as well. With specials these amazing, the Crawl With Us crawl may be the choice for you!


While the crawl has no set bar schedule, bars that will be participating in the crawl are Nola Bar & Kitchen, Dark Horse Tap, Merkle’s, and more! Check in location is TBD but you will learn everything you need to know once you purchase tickets with the link below.
